Preparing for the PicNic assessment
Are you going to take the PicNic assessment? Then this practice package will help you practice in a focused way with the components that often appear in a SHL assessment. PicNic uses SHL, a widely used assessment provider, and the assessment may consist of a cognitive ability test and additional personality or behavioral measures.
The cognitive ability test focuses on analytical ability, logical reasoning, and problem-solving ability. In this package, you practice the modules that align well with this, namely syllogisms, numerical reasoning, and figure sequences. This gives you a better understanding of the type of reasoning that is expected of you and allows you to practice in a calm, familiar setting.
What you will find in this bundle
- Syllogisms for verbal and logical reasoning
- Numerical reasoning with tables and graphs
- Figure sequences for abstract reasoning
The exercises align with the way SHL usually presents these components. In syllogisms, you work from two statements toward a logical conclusion. In numerical reasoning, you analyze data and sometimes also make calculations. In figure sequences, you look for the pattern that logically continues the sequence. The goal is not only to practice, but also to better learn to recognize the question formats.
Not sure exactly which components you need to complete? Then check your invitation email or log in to the SHL online platform. There you will usually find the most up-to-date information about your assessment. With this bundle, you can in any case get started in a focused way with the components that occur most often within the SHL assessment of PicNic.
By practicing beforehand, you become familiar with the question types and with the way you need to analyze information under time pressure. That makes it easier to stay focused during the actual assessment and to work step by step toward an answer.
